Role Overview
Are you passionate about health, fitness, and helping people move better? We are seeking an energetic and motivating Physiotherapy Assistant to play a hands-on role in supporting and delivering our rehabilitation and THRIVE classes. Working directly under the guidance of our senior clinical team, you will coach movement, build patient confidence, and keep our class environments vibrant, safe, and empowering. This is an ideal role for an aspiring healthcare professional, sports rehab/therapy student, or fitness instructor who loves group dynamics and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Class Delivery & Support: Assist in leading, supervising, and motivating patients during rehabilitation, strength, and wellness classes.
- Patient Encouragement: Act as a supportive coach, helping individuals—especially those building back from injury or managing chronic pain—gain confidence in their physical abilities.
- Clinic Support: Ensure the rehab space and equipment are safely set up, maintained, and welcoming for every session. Assist with the collection and processing of class payments.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate closely with our physiotherapists to understand specific patient goals and feedback on exercise progression.
Key Requirements
- Essential: Exceptional communication skills, a welcoming and motivating personality, and a genuine passion for exercise, movement, or rehabilitation.
- Desirable: Background or active studying in Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, or Personal Training/Fitness Instruction; experience leading or assisting with group exercise.
- Team Alignment: Demonstrates compatibility with the ethos of our contemporary practice.
