About Us
At Great Northern Physiotherapy, we’re not just a clinic—we’re a movement. Celebrating over a decade of award-winning care, our mission is to be a trusted voice in MSK healthcare by delivering exceptional clinical excellence while empowering patients to take control of their health.
Following a major period of expansion, including our brand-new facility at the Yarborough Leisure Centre, we are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and forward-thinking leader to shape the future of our clinical offering.
Role Overview
This is a crucial, strategic hire within our growing team. This position requires a highly skilled MSK practitioner who possesses the commercial acumen, drive, and energy to thrive in a private sector environment.
You will split your time between maintaining an expert-level clinical caseload and leading on clinical supervision, education, governance, and pathway development. You will be instrumental in nurturing our talent and ensuring our clinical team remains at the cutting edge of evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities

- Culture Builder: Foster an ambitious, supportive, and growth-oriented clinical culture where team members are challenged and nurtured.
2. Clinical Governance & Pathway Development
- Quality Assurance: Lead on clinical governance, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professional regulation (HCPC/ BASRAT), and audit compliance across all sites.
- Pathway Innovation: Review, develop, and implement advanced clinical pathways (e.g., post-operative rehab, chronic pain management, and athletic performance) to optimise patient outcomes.
- Service Delivery: Actively collaborate with the management team to identify service gaps and implement innovative, patient-centered solutions.
3. Expert Clinical Caseload
- Manage a varied and complex MSK caseload (3 days per week), demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic skills, and psychologically informed care.
- Utilise our premium facilities—including our on site Diagnostics and Performance Lab—to transition patients smoothly from acute rehab back to high-level function.
- Act as a clinical escalation point for complex cases within the team.
